Piotr Skubida - founder
Born in Poland, Piotr grew up surrounded by mountains and ancient forests, a connection to nature that led to an affinity for woodworking and sustainable practices. Being rooted in the natural world continues to influence his work today, (e.g. you'll often find him foraging wild mushrooms in the nearby Welsh hills) and inspired Eco Build’s focus on environmentally-conscious craftsmanship and the timeless beauty of oak.
Throughout a decades-spanning career, Piotr worked on everything from private residential renovations to executing large-scale council developments. Known for his practical approach and attention to detail, he combines traditional construction skills with an eye for refinement and innovation. Piotr believes truly great building work should be done with care, integrity and pride — the very values that led him to start Eco Build in 2025.
